Geographic Information Systems
IBR has teamed to provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software development expertise to upgrade the United States Census Bureau’s (USCB) partnership software systems. IBR is developing extended feature plugins for the core system (Open Source - QGIS) to enhance the basic functionality to meet specific GIS Census requirements. This enables the 40,000 partners of the U.S. Census Bureau (e.g., school districts, local, tribal, county, and state governments) to directly submit changes to the Census Bureau, assuring timely and accurate records without disrupting sensitive topology data.
IBR is a subcontractor to L3Harris for the JANUS program which translates raw geospatial data into actionable intelligence for various government agencies. The products that IBR provides resources to are: Controlled Image Base (CIB), Enhanced Controlled Image Base (eCIBs), Adjusted Metric Support Data (AMSD), and Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB). Our team is collocated onsite at the L3Harris classified lab. IBR also provides geospatial analysis to L3Harris. IBR also contributes to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) mission success by providing production support for geospatial imagery enhancements and product generation.
